Choices

Middle School Student, Framingham, MA

I have had many times in my life where I’ve had to make a positive or negative choice. There is one that stands out the most. One of my very good friends was at the baseball field. He was walking alone around there and watching the games that were going on at the time. Some high school kids that he knew went up to him and asked him for some money to get a hot dog at the snack bar. My friend refused to give it to them, so the high school kids threatened to beat him up. My friend still refused. I took a glance over at him and I saw that he was in trouble, so a couple of my other friends went over there. When the two high school kids saw my group of friends and I walk over to my friend, the high school kids walked away. I thought I made a very good choice to help my friend when he was in trouble. I would not do anything differently because I successfully helped my friend.
